En terwijl ik daarover zat te peinzen, deed zich opeens een vraag voor. Zoals dat met dit soort processen gaat, komen dan spontaan en heel associatief wat gedachten bij elkaar: de kerksluitingen, het <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanhellenberghubar.org\/index.php\/archief\/webitems\/centrale-linkpagina-instagram-en-andere-sociale-media\/#arvonuvavi\">laatste artikel voor Vitruvius<\/a> over wat er nu precies beschermd is in relatie tot enkele programmatische onderdelen van de Laurentiuskerk van Joseph Cuypers en Jan Stuyt, het boek over Jan Toorop van Gerard van Wezel (2016) waaruit opnieuw de enorme iconografische kennis van Toorop blijkt en de rol van iconografen in de kerkelijke kunst van de negentiende en twintigste eeuw.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dat leidde tot de volgende vraag die ik op de sociale media heb gezet:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FVanHH.Org2all%2Fphotos%2Fa.2204265756475765%2F2978250455743954%2F&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"618\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Uit de reacties &#8211; en vooral het ontbreken ervan &#8211; blijk ik niet de enige te zijn die geen antwoorden heeft. Zijn er \u00fcberhaupt nog hedendaagse iconografen die iets zouden kunnen betekenen voor een programma dat bij de herbestemming van een kerk het verhaal van gisteren en dat van vandaag met elkaar verbindt?<\/p>\n<p>Zelf heb ik goede herinneringen aan de inbreng van de emeritus plebaan van de nieuwe Bavo\/KoepelKathedraal, Hein Jan van Ogtrop, bij de eigentijdse toevoegingen tijdens de restauratie van het complex die in 2018 is afgerond.
